Dave and Elbi Basson carried the fire of church planting long before it became their legacy. Beginning in a small town in the Cape, they pioneered home churches across three surrounding towns, faithfully ministering and pouring into communities during the week. This wasn’t just a ministry strategy – it was a Spirit-led heartbeat that couldn’t be contained.

When God directed them to Cape Town in 2005, what began as a base for itinerant ministry rapidly grew into five ministry points across the surrounding areas. The Holy Spirit was clearly at work, and the culture of multiplication they carried only deepened with time.

With over 40 years of combined ministry experience, prophetic word, and an unwavering yes to God, it was only a matter of time before the next generation stepped into the calling. In 2017, their son Shawn took the reins and Dave continues as spiritual father – a foundation of wisdom, faith, and love.

At the heart of KLC has always been a deep love for pastors – to uplift, support, and walk alongside those in the trenches of ministry. To see the kingdom light of God fill every corner of the earth.

Today the network continues to expand globally, collaborating with church planting networks around the world. We carry a great expectation for what God is about to do.

Our vision remains unchanged : to see the lost saved, discipled, and the saints equipped for the work of ministry through the local church.
