Who We Are
Dave and Elbi Basson got saved in 1982, and right from the start felt the call of God on their lives. In 1991 they moved to the small town of Malmesbury, located 70km north of Cape Town in the Western Cape Province. It was here where the Spirit led Dave to start planting churches in the Boland area. During this season an incredible outpouring of the Spirit was experienced that touched many lives.
In 2005 Kingdom Light Church was planted in Strand.
In 2015 Shawn took the reins and Dave as spiritual father to the network, kingdom network was born, their heart has always been for pastors, to uplift and assist struggling pastors. To see the kingdom light of God fill the earth.
The network has expanded globally and collaborates with other church planting networks. We have a great expectation to see what God is going to do in the future.
Kingdom Light Church Malmesbury
KLC Malmesbury was planted in a house more than 19 years ago by Dave and Elbi Basson. They as well as Shawn Basson and many other local and international ministers, ministered to the growing congregation on a weekly basis.
During 2020, the congregation moved into a building situated at 10 Spoorweg str. Malmesbury. In Feb 2022 the Church moved to new premises situated above the Nedbank building at the cnr of Voortrekker and Sarel Cilliers str. Malmesbury
Fanna and Anne Harmse became part of the KLC family and in January of 2021, they moved down from Groblersdal in the Limpopo Province, to pastor the congregation. They have been involved in ministry for over 39 years and in full time ministry for more than 20 years.
Kingdom Light Church Stellenbosch
Hennie and Salomie Botha are a strong ministry couple that love God’s Kingdom and have a passion to bring a revival culture wherever they go. They have been involved in pastoral ministry for the last fifteen years. Both their full-time ministry involvement started in 2004 by pastoring university students, and for the last couple of years they have been serving as family pastors in Stellenbosch.
They recently joined the Kingdom Network as the planting team of our brand-new Stellenbosch church plant (April 2019).
Hennie have been involved in pastoral ministry for 15 years and also served as the national coordinator of Champions for Christ South Africa for over 6 years. His passion is to see a supernatural transformation in people and to practically bring the Kingdom of God to others. Salomie is a trained and qualified musician and her passion is worship. Her heart is equipping the next generation of worship leaders and musicians to serve the Kingdom in worship and the arts. She also led and developed a worship school for 5 years. The church gathers at PJ Olivier Kunsskool Art Centre, 3 Blom str., Entrance at Market str. Stellenbosch
Hennie and Salomie Botha are the senior pastors of the congregation.
